Marketing is a key aspect to promoting your business. But how do your potential customers find you on the internet? If you are just starting to transfer your business online, you may need a little help. If you make it easy for customers to find you, then you have more chances to promote your business to them which may eventually lead to sales. A big point here is this: if your ideal client can’t find you on the web, you don’t exist.

If you have a brick and mortor business, you are familiar with what questions your customers are asking. If you didn’t have a brick and mortar building for them to go to, where would they go to get their questions answered? The internet, of course. But how can they find you when you are competing with millions of other people?

You already have what marketeers call a niche. People stop by your business when they have a problem. But online can be a little tricky. People who have common problems tend to hang out together. That’s where your business needs to be – hanging out with them to solve their problems. There are blogs to post to, social platforms to contribute to and forums to participate in. I recommend you start with a blog. You want to have a few posts before signing up to promote it. Then when you start marketing to the social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, you have a place to send them. You can also repurpose your blog posts to be used on other sites.

Marketing your business involves expanding into all avenues available. The internet has opened up for all. Whether you are a brick and mortar business or work from home, you need to expand to the internet. It will help grow your business. Visibility = Opportunity. How are you marketing your business?
