By Carol Farbe | November 13, 2009
What is your marketing niche? Do you have a specialty product or a marketing niche that reflects what you do? According to Wikipedia, a niche market is specific product is focused on. In other words, you satisfy the particular needs within your market.
What is your market? What do you specialize in? What do you do daily? Are you a contractor? Are you a hair dresser? Are you a school teacher? When transferring your business online, you need to look at what you do everyday and then move those ideas to the internet. That’s where you start. Once you have established your niche, you need to grow within your internet community. To grow and expand, try finding people who compliment your niche. These people will also be interested in what you have to say because your marketing are similar or relate to one another.
For instance, if you are an electrical contractor, you may have customers who would also be interested in a foam insulation contractor. Since both of these strive for energy efficiency, they would compliment each other. By joining forces, you can grow your list and possibly increase sales. What is your complimentary niche?
