Blogging is a way to increase the exposure of your business on the internet. Blogging is not social marketing. If you want to be social, go to the social networking sites like Face Book or Twitter. As you transfer your business online, a blog or website can inform customers about the specifics of your business. On a website, you can showcase your products or packages. On a blog, you can write directly to potential customers. But where do you get your blog ideas?
In one of Joan Stewart’s post on her blog, The Publicity Hound breaks it down into several quick ideas. Sometimes the ideas are right in front of you. Have you checked your email today? Some people check it hourly or just keep it open all day long. But that is time consuming. Reading every email that comes in immediately can be a time waster. Instead, check your email daily and respond to it. Many of us receive questions through our email. You can respond to that email directly or you can answer that question in one of your blog post.
You can take that question and answer, expand on it, then post it in your newsletter as an article within your industry. You can fill up a newsletter with questions your customers have asked. Is there one question that customers ask repeatedly? That tells you there is interest in that topic. Where do you get your blog post ideas from?

Once people get to know you, they like you, and will purchase from you. Read the rest of this entry

Posting to your blog should be a weekly routine. To transfer your business online, you must drive traffic to your site. Chris Brogran says there is a secret to posting on your blog and ideas is one of his top three. Is writers block one of the reasons you don’t post often? When you look at your business, what are the questions that people frequently ask you? Those questions are the basis for a blog post. I know one lady that doesn’t respond to email questions individually. Rather, she answers the questions in a blog post. Read the rest of this entry

One great way to transfer your business online is to have a blog. Most people have already taken that step. But there are several key issues that you must know while posting to your blog. It is consistency that will grab readers and keep then wanting more. Read the rest of this entry
